Desmon | BasicLine   

Desmon has developed the BasicLine for the discerning customer who wants quality refrigeration at a conservative price. This range of upright and counter refrigeration units are manufactured to the highest of standards and quality assurance that you have come to expect from Desmon, finished externally in stainless steel and internally finished in aluminium, with 50mm polyurethane insulation (CFC Free) the BasicLine is rated at +43°C. Uprights are available as either a chiller or freezer and come in 1 or 2 doors, meanwhile the counter units are available as a chiller only and come in 2, 3 or 4 doors.

 

Desmon | GoldLine 

Desmon’s GoldLine of gastronorm refrigeration offers its customers a diverse range of efficient, functional and elegant refrigeration units to suit almost any need. With standard features such a mono-block construction, finished internally and externally in 304 grade Stainless Steel, coved internal surfaces, 60mm polyurethane insulation that could constitute a saving of 20% in energy consumption. Rated at ambients of upto +43ºC, and can handle up to 4 different temperature zones all in the one unit, the GoldLine has truly been designed and engineered with the food service professional in mind.

 

Blast Chiller | Shock Freezer

 Desmon range of Blast/Shock Freezers are designed for prime purpose of rapidly lowering the temperature of produce prior of been introduce into a fridge or freezer for long-term storage. These specialized freezers are used in the frozen food industry, for everything from ice cream to television dinners, and they are also utilized in some commercial kitchens for specialty tasks.

Freezers in general are designed to store pre-frozen produce. When food is frozen, the water inside crystallizes. If freezing takes place at relatively warm temperatures, the ice crystals which form will be large. In a Blast freezer, the extremely cold temperature promotes very rapid freezing, which creates small ice crystals. The smaller the crystals, the less damage to the food, as large crystals can rupture cells. Additional advantages to blast/shock freezing goes beyond the preservation of the integrity of the food. Extreme cold inhibits bacterial growth, which means that if food is handled safely and then placed immediately in the freezer, the likelihood of contamination is very low. This greatly increases food safety and reduces risk to consumers. Once the food has been frozen in a blast freezer, it can be moved to a more conventional freezer for storage, as long as the freezer stays cold enough to keep the food frozen.

Desmon range of Blast/Shock Freezers are designed to function at temperature ranges of +70ºC to -18ºC- They operate by blowing force chilled air over the food in the freezer to cool it down rapidly. Others may operate differently, depending on the design. Blast freezers can be equipped with movable trays for positioning foods, and they may also include an assortment of compartments for freezing. Desmon | Modular 

The GoldLine is also available in a Modular format. These units are shipped in a flat pack and are not constructed until they arrive at their final destination. Allows the user to install refrigeration equipment (up to 3 door in upright configutarion and 4 door undercounter units) in areas that previously would have been impossible to access.
